Actress Kajol shared unseen pictures of her daughter Nysa Devgan alongside a heartfelt note on the latter’s 21st birthday on Saturday.
“Happy 21st my darling. May u always smile and laugh with this same joie de vivre through life. Know that you are loved always and forever. To the moon and back baby,” wrote Kajol on Instagram, extending her wishes to Nysa.
The pictures dropped by Kajol show Nysa cuddling a retriever. In one of the photographs, the 21-year-old looks stunning as she poses in a golden embellished lehenga on a swing. Referring to the last picture of the carousel, which shows Nysa petting a puppy resting on her chest, Kajol wrote, “That last pic is how I look at you most days.”
A day before Nysa’s birthday, Kajol dropped a throwback picture with her daughter alongside a long note describing the journey of motherhood.
“Tomorrow is Nysas 21st birthday but today is about me and how I became a mom. How she made my greatest wish come true and how she makes me happy every single day since then just by being herself. How she makes me grateful and awed by her love and her unflinching support. I can be wrong but I can never be in the wrong,” wrote Kajol alongside a picture of baby Nysa sitting on her lap.
The Lust Stories 2 actress recounted the joy of hearing Nysa call her ‘mama’. “How I felt for the first time and every time since when she calls me " mama ". It’s like a call to arms for a very loved cause,” read the actress’s post.
“Love is such an ordinary term to describe what you feel for your children. It’s so much much more,” Kajol signed off.
Kajol will soon be seen in Shashanka Chaturvedi’s upcoming crime thriller Do Patti alongside Kriti Sanon. The film is produced by Kriti’s production banner Blue Butterfly Films, which she launched in July 2023. Do Patti also marks Kriti’s second collaboration with Kajol after Rohit Shetty’s 2015 romantic action comedy Dilwale.
The teaser released by the makers on February 29 begins with Kajol as a cop, her first time donning the uniform, as she rides a bike along a tortuous mountain road.
Nysa, who returned to India after completing her higher studies in International Hospitality from Glion Institute of Higher Education in Montreux, Switzerland, is often seen at gatherings with her friends and family.
