Dulquer Salman will star in his and Rana Daggubati’s joint production Kaantha, the actor announced on Monday, sharing pictures from the puja ceremony of the film.

Produced by Rana Daggubati’s Spirit Media and Dulquer’s Wayfarer Films, Kaantha also stars Bhagyashri Borse and Samuthirakani Pillaiyar alongside Dulquer. The movie will be directed by Selvamani Selvaraj.

Reportedly set in Chennai, erstwhile known as Madras, of the 1950s, Kaantha explores the complexities of human relationships and societal change during a dynamic period in history.

Rana will be next seen in TJ Gnanavel’s Vettaiyan alongside Rajinikanth, Amitabh Bachchan and Fahadh Faasil. Dulquer has the films Lucky Baskhar and Aakasam Lo Oka Tara in the pipeline.
