Justin Bieber is taking a break from his ‘Justice World Tour’, citing exhaustion and his need to make his health his priority at the moment. The popstar made the announcement on Twitter and Instagram a few hours back.
“After resting and consulting with my doctors, family and team, I went to Europe in an effort to continue with the tour. I performed six live shows, but it took a real toll on me. This past weekend, I performed at Rock in Rio and I gave everything I have to the people in Brazil.
After getting off stage, the exhaustion overtook me and I realized that I need to make my health the priority right now. So I’m going to take a break from touring for the time being. I’m going to be ok, but I need time to rest and get better,” Bieber wrote on social media.
This is the second time this year that the Baby singer has suspended his tour halfway — the first time being in June after he was diagnosed with Ramsay Hunt Syndrome. The syndrome had left half of Bieber’s face paralysed and the singer-songwriter had to take a break from touring in order to get better.
Bieber had resumed the ‘Justice World Tour’ in July after consulting doctors and completed the North America portion of it.
India was one of the destinations on Bieber tour’s map, which has been cancelled. This would have been Bieber’s second time coming to India since his first concert in Mumbai’s DY Patil Stadium in 2017.
The Honest hitmaker’s decision to take a break on health grounds comes three months after another popstar pulled out of touring for mental health reasons. On July 27 this year, Shawn Mendes announced a break from his ‘Wonder: The World Tour’ to prioritise his mental health .
