Jr NTR’s Devara: Part 1 crosses Rs 450-crore mark globally

The Koratala Siva-directed action drama, also starring Saif Ali Khan and Janhvi Kapoor, has minted Rs 243.75 crore in India so far

Telugu star Jr NTR’s latest film Devara: Part 1 has crossed the Rs 450-crore mark at the global box office with a total collection of Rs 466 crore gross worldwide in 10 days, according to the makers.

“When the sea gets wild….. nothing can stop a force like #Devara 🔥,” the official handle of the movie posted on X.

At the domestic box office, Devara is inching towards the Rs 250-crore mark, according to trade figures reported by industry data-tracking portal Sacnilk.

Following a collection of Rs 215.6 crore nett in the first week, the Koratala Siva-directed action drama earned Rs 28.15 crore nett in its second weekend, taking the film’s total collection to Rs 243.75 crore nett in India.

While the Telugu version contributed Rs 181.72 crore nett to the earnings, the Hindi version raked in Rs 53.25 crore nett. The Kannada, Malayalam and Tamil versions cumulatively contributed Rs 8.78 crore nett.

Jr NTR plays the double role of a father and son in Devara, which also stars Janhvi Kapoor, Saif Ali Khan, Shine Tom Chacko, Murali Sharma and Prakash Raj in key roles.

Meanwhile, Todd Phillips’ October 2 release Joker: Folie à Deux, starring Joaquin Phoenix and Lady Gaga, has earned Rs 10.85 crore nett in India in five days, as per Sacnilk.

The musical sequel to Joker (2019) has collected USD 121 million globally, according to Box Office Mojo.
