Jr NTR and Janhvi Kapoor-starrer Devara will be released in two parts in order to explore the story with more “depth and detail”, director Koratala Siva has revealed in a video on X (formerly Twitter).
Sharing the one-minute-27-second-long clip on Wednesday, the 48-year-old filmmaker said, “The canvas is too big. Every character in the film has its own way and we need to explore and establish in depth and in detail, which we can’t justify in one part… The story won’t change in shape but will thrive in scale.”
The Acharya director also clarified that the first part of the film series will be released on April 5, 2024.
Alongside Jr NTR, the film also stars Prakash Raj, Meka Srikanth, Shine Tom Chacko, Narain and Murali Sharma. Saif Ali Khan plays the main antagonist in the film which marks Janhvi Kapoor’s Telugu debut.
The soundtrack for the film has been composed by Anirudh Ravichander. It will hit theatres in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada and Hindi languages.
