Jr NTR-starrer Devara: Part 1 has minted Rs 215.6 crore nett in the first week of its theatrical run, according to industry data-tracking portal Sacnilk.
The Koratala Siva-directed actioner had a record-breaking opening of Rs 82.5 crore nett on its first day. The film witnessed a decline in collections on Day 2, raking in Rs 38.2 crore nett. On Day 3, the film collected Rs 39.9 crore nett.
On Monday, Devara’s daily collection dropped to Rs 12.75 crore nett. The film capitalised on the Gandhi Jayanti holiday mid-week, earning Rs 21 crore nett on Wednesday after a modest Rs 14 crore nett on Tuesday.
Also starring Saif Ali Khan and Janhvi Kapoor, the film's earnings saw a significant drop on Thursday, with a collection of Rs 7 crore nett, according to Sacnilk.
The Telugu version has contributed Rs 164 crore nett to Devara’s earnings, while the Hindi version minted Rs 43.75 crore nett. The Kannada, Malayalam and Tamil versions together contributed Rs 7.6 crore nett.
Jr NTR plays a double role of a father and son in Devara, which also stars Shine Tom Chacko, Murali Sharma and Prakash Raj in key roles.
Todd Phillips-directed Joker: Folie à Deux, which released in theatres on October 2, also witnessed a drop in collections on Day 2. Starring Joaquin Phoenix and Lady Gaga, the musical earned Rs 5.15 crore nett in India on Day 1, followed by Rs 1.25 crore nett on Day 2, as per Sacnilk. The total collection of Joker 2 in India now stands at Rs 6.4 crore nett.
Meanwhile, Rajkummar Rao and Shraddha Kapoor-starrer Stree 2 hit the Rs 620-crore mark on Thursday. The Amar Kaushik-directed horror comedy film has collected Rs 620.26 crore nett in India so far.
