John Wick prequel series The Continental, produced by Lionsgate Television, is slated for a worldwide release, except in the US, Middle East and Israel, on Prime Video in 2023.

Starring Colin Woodell, Mel Gibson, Ayomide Adegun, Ben Robson, Hubert Point-Du Jour, Jessica Allain, Mishel Prada, Nhung Kate and Peter Greene, the series is based on the blockbuster action franchise John Wick starring Keanu Reeves.

The Continental follows a young Winston Scott, played by Colin Woodell, through the underworld of New York in the 1970s. He will battle demons from his past and attempt to take control of The Continental, the iconic hotel that serves as a meeting point for the world’s most dangerous criminals.

Scott is joined by Mel Gibson’s Cormac, Ayomide Adegun’s Charon, Ben Robson’s Frankie, Hubert Point-Du Jour’s Miles, Jessica Allain’s Lou, Mishel Prada’s KD, Nhung Kate’s Yen and Peter Greene’s Uncle Charlie.

Greg Coolidge and Kirk Ward serve as writers and showrunners on The Continental.

The John Wick films have grossed nearly USD 600 million worldwide to date, with each film outperforming its predecessor. The latest film of the franchise, John Wick: Chapter Four, will hit the theatres on March 24, 2023.
