Pop band Jonas Brothers member Joe Jonas is set to make his return to solo music with new single Work It Out on July 19, the American singer-songwriter announced on Wednesday.
“I’m both excited and emotional as I’m gearing up to release new music,” Joe wrote on Instagram. “I’m humbled and grateful to collaborate with some of my favourite musicians and creators. I hope you find as much happiness & peace as I do when you listen to these songs,” he wrote in the note.
The Leave Me Before You Love Me singer also shared a cover picture for the song on Instagram. The photo shows Joe sporting a denim jacket over a red t-shirt and jeans, and walking through a field of flowers.
Joe’s brother, Nick, who is also a member of Jonas Brothers, shared the cover photo on his Instagram story and wrote, “Let’s get it.”
The 34-year-old singer teased his solo song back in March on Tiktok with a short clip. “The way I would’ve bodied this trend if I weren’t in the studio working on something new,” he captioned it. Joe shared a 13-second-long video of him and his collaborators playing guitar in a recording studio in response to a fan’s comment the following day.
The singer released his first solo album Fast Life back in 2011 containing hit songs like All This Time, Sorry and Just in Love. The track See No More penned by Chris Brown was the first track from his debut album.
Joe is a part of several music bands, including Jonas Brothers and DNCE. He and his brothers — Nick and Kevin — reunited for Jonas Brothers back in 2019.
