Jisshu Sengupta and Nilanjanaa Senguptaa’s eldest daughter Sara Sengupta walked the ramp for luxury fashion brand Dior’s Fall 2023 ready-to-wear collection by Maria Grazia Chiuri in Mumbai on Thursday, in the presence of celebrities from across the globe.
The 18-year-old trained under grooming expert and ex-supermodel Nayanika Chatterjee before walking the ramp. Dressed in an iridescent blue dress with a pearl choker necklace and smokey eyes, Sara oozed confidence on the ramp. Both her parents shared several stories via their Instagram accounts to congratulate their daughter.
Filmmaker Srijit Mukherji, who directed Sara in her debut film Uma (2018), celebrated the moment via a post on Instagram. “My. Little. Uma. Got selected as a Christian Dior model from amongst hundreds around the world. Walked the ramp with unbelievable confidence. And all this, absolutely on her own. PROUD PROUD PROUD,” the Shabaash Mithu director wrote.
Sara played Uma, a child who gets diagnosed with a terminal illness and wishes to experience Kolkata’s Durga Puja, in Uma. Jisshu played her screen father, Himadri, who scripts a fake Durga Puja in Kolkata to fulfill her wish.
The other celebrity kid to walk the ramp at the Dior event was Arjun Rampal’s daughter Myra Rampal. The star-studded event, held at the Gateway of India, was attended by stars like Rekha, Sonam Kapoor, Anushka Sharma, Ananya Panday, Athiya Shetty and Virat Kohli.
