Tollywood star Jisshu Sengupta is returning as a producer after about a decade, with the Bengali TV serial Horo Gouri Pice Hotel for Star Jalsha.
Jisshu had started his acting career with the TV serial Mahaprabhu in the 1990s and his last stint as a producer was for the TV show Aparajito in 2012, where he also played the lead role.
Horo Gouri Pice Hotel will go on air on September 12. It will be telecast Monday to Friday at 10pm on Star Jalsha.
Jisshu shared the news on Instagram on Wednesday, with a teaser video featuring himself and the show’s lead cast.
“Our new production…coming soon on @starjalsha ❤️❤️❤️” wrote Jisshu.
The serial is being produced by Jisshu Ujjal Sengupta Productions. Nilanjanaa, Jisshu’s wife, is the co-producer.
Horo Gouri Pice Hotel features Rahul Mazumdar and Suvosmita Mukherjee in the lead characters of Shankar and Oishani. Rahul has worked in TV shows like Debi Choudhurani, Bhaggolokkhi and Khukumoni Home Delivery, while Suvosmita has been a part of films like Tikiland and Meter Down.
