Hawkeye star Jeremy Renner, who is on the road to recovery after the January 1 snow-plow accident, has shared a heartfelt letter from his nephew Auggie.
“I am very lucky because my uncle is Hawkeye (which is one of the Avengers). I am also very lucky that my uncle is alive from his accident,” the handwritten note read.
Renner, who had sustained over 30 bone fractures in the accident, shared the note on his Instagram and wrote, “Love my little man. Bless you Auggie.”
The 55-year-old actor was hospitalised for blunt chest trauma and orthopedic injuries after a snow plow ran over him while he was trying to help a family member in Washoe County, Nevada. Renner had posted a photo of himself three days later, updating fans about his recovery.
His The Avengers co-stars Chris Evans, Chris Hemsworth and Chris Pratt sent their wishes hoping for a speedy recovery for Renner. The actor updated his fans again on January 21 with a picture of him being helped with morning workouts. “Morning workouts, resolutions all changed this particular new year …. Spawned from tragedy for my entire family, and quickly focused into uniting actionable love. These 30 plus broken bones will mend , grow stronger, just like the love and bond with family and friends deepens. Love and blessings to you all,” he wrote.
Renner is currently gearing up for his upcoming Disney+Hotstar series Rennervations, set for an April 12 premiere.
