Actor Jeremy Renner is set to make his return to the sets of Mayor of Kingstown Season 3 a year after sustaining over 30 fractures in a near-fatal snowplow accident, hint Instagram stories shared by the 52-year-old MCU star and his co-star Emma Laird.
Renner, who was run over by a snow-removal tractor in January and had to be airlifted to a hospital, recently reshared pictures of him and Laird from the sets of the Paramount+ crime thriller. Later, Laird also shared a screenshot of a news report about their return to the sets.
Renner recently took to Instagram to thank the staff of Renown Hospital for saving his life. He was airlifted to the intensive care unit of Renown Hospital and had to undergo two emergency surgeries following the January incident.
“Stopped by to see kids/superheroes , first responders , and doctors, nurses and staff at Renown hospital Paying my respects and celebrating love, life and the blessings it brings to us all,” wrote Jeremy alongside a picture of him sitting inside a RennerVation Foundation bus.
RennerVation Foundation was founded by the actor to provide aid to vulnerable children. In a unique initiative, the organisation refurbishes city buses to transform them into rolling carriers of community resources.
The Hollywood star had earlier said in an interview that he had to undergo several hours of physical therapy coupled with peptide injections, IV drips and stem cell treatment during the process of his recovery.
Renner plays Mayor Mike McLusky in Mayor of Kingstown which revolves around the business of incarceration.
