Netflix has dropped the trailer for Kota Factory Season 3, featuring Jitendra Kumar’s Jeetu Bhaiyya, and announced that the latest instalment of the popular show will premiere on the streaming platform on June 20.
“(I)IT’S HAPPENING!! Kota Factory: Season 3 releases on 20 June, only on Netflix! #KotaFactoryS3OnNetflix,” the streaming platform wrote on social media alongside the trailer on Tuesday.
The two-minute-41-second video opens with Jeetu Bhaiyya appearing on a podcast and sharing his mantra for success, emphasising the importance of celebrating the process of preparation as much as the success itself.
He also addresses a question he frequently faces: why his students call him Jeetu Bhaiya instead of Jeetu Sir. “In Kota, children have every facility, but they are not just JEE aspirants. We often forget that they are 15-16-year-old kids,” he explains.
“These young students take every aspect of their lives seriously, whether it's a reprimand from a teacher or a minor issue in a friendship,” he says, adding, “Their responsibility is huge. Jeetu Sir won’t be able to handle it.”
The trailer further shows Vaibhav (Mayur More) expressing his frustration over change in rules for admission to IIT, which mandates 75 per cent marks in board exams in addition to a rank in JEE. Vaibhav and his friends are bogged down by the pressure of preparatory tests as they make a final attempt at cracking the entrance exams.
Kota Factory, a coming-of-age series by The Viral Fever, is set in Kota, Rajasthan, a city famous for its coaching institutes. The story follows 16-year-old Vaibhav who moves to Kota to prepare for the entrance exam to secure a place at the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT).
The series explores the lives of students in Kota, focusing on Vaibhav's journey and the obstacles he faces. The cast features Ahsaas Channa, Alam Khan, Ranjan Raj, Revathi Pillai and Urvi Singh in prominent roles.
