The release date of Jeet’s upcoming film Boomerang has been rescheduled to June 7, the Tollywood star confirmed in a post on X.

“Happy to share this piece of information with you…” Jeet wrote on social media, alongside a 10-second long video revealing the new release date.

Directed by Sauvik Kundu, the film was initially slated for release on May 10. The decision to postpone the release date is reportedly influenced by the impending Lok Sabha elections scheduled for May, indicating a strategic move to avoid clashing with the polls.

Featuring an ensemble cast including Rukmini Maitra, Kharaj Mukherjee, Rajatava Dutta, Saurav Das and Debchandrima Singha Roy in pivotal roles, Boomerang is touted to be a blend of science fiction and comedy.

Boomerang is bankrolled under the banner of Jeetz Filmworks, with Jeet himself serving as producer alongside Gopal Madnani and Amit Jumrani.

Jeet was last seen in Sanjoy Somadder’s Manush, which arrived in theatres in November 2023.
