Bollywood veteran Jeetendra engages in a flirtatious banter over the phone with Ayushmann Khurrana’s Dream Girl 2 character Pooja in a new promotional video dropped by the makers of the upcoming film on Sunday.
The one-minute-three-second-long clip shared on Instagram shows Jeetendra in an all-black outfit, making a phone call to Pooja and asking her when she’ll arrive. Pooja refers to the 81-year-old as “uncle” but Jeetendra insists that she calls him “Jeetu” or “Jeet”. Glimpses of Pooja in a pink sari appear on the screen during the conversation but the video doesn’t reveal the character’s face.
Ekta Kapoor, who is producing Ayushmann’s Dream Girl 2, shared the video on Instagram and announced that the advance booking for the film is now open.
“Pooja ka mahurat toh 25 ka hai, lekin bookings toh ab bhi ho sakti haina!” she wrote alongside the clip.
Helmed by Raaj Shaandilya, Dream Girl 2 also stars Rajpal Yadav, Paresh Rawal, Vijay Raaz, Annu Kapoor and Manjot Singh. The film is slated to release in theatres on August 25.
