Jeet drops first poster of sci-fi comedy Boomerang on Eid

Also starring Rukmini Maitra, Kharaj Mukherjee and Rajatabha Dutta, the Sauvik Kundu directorial is slated to hit the theatres on June 7

Tollywood actor Jeet is set to headline Sauvik Kundu’s upcoming sci-fi comedy Boomerang, he announced on Instagram alongside the first poster of the film on Thursday to mark the occasion of Eid.

“My Eidi,” wrote Jeet, sharing the poster that shows him performing a gravity defying stunt on a bike.

The poster was also shared by Jeet’s co-star in the film Rukmini Maitra. “Buckle up your seat belts for a thrilling ride of innovations. #Boomerang first look is live now,” read the actress’s caption on Instagram.

According to the official synopsis on IMDb, the film will narrate the story of a brilliant scientist who builds a humanoid robot. However, a series of events leads to thrill and comic situations that create a boomerang effect.

Produced by Jeet, Gopal Madnani and Amit Jumrai under the banner of Jeetz Fireworks, Boomerang also stars Kharaj Mukherjee, Rajatabha Dutta and Saurav Das in key roles. The film is slated to hit the theatres on June 7.

Jeet was last seen in Bangladeshi filmmaker Sanjoy Somadder’s Indian Bengali film debut Manush: Child of Destiny. The film also starred Jeetu Kamal, Susmita Chatterjee and Bidya Sinha Saha Mim in important roles.

Rukmini, on the other hand, last appeared in Birsa Dasgupta’s Byomkesh O Durgo Rahasya, alongside Dev, Ambarish Bhattacharya and Rajatava Dutta.
