The trailer of Shah Rukh Khan’s Jawan will be released soon, the makers announced on social media on Saturday.
“Stay Tuned... #JawanTrailer,” tweeted the official Twitter handle of Red Chillies Entertainment, the production house headed by Gauri Khan & Shah Rukh Khan.
Last week, Shah Rukh had mentioned that the Jawan trailer was ready during an #AskSRK session on Twitter. “It’s all ready getting other assets in place. Don’t worry it’s all in a happy place…#Jawan,” he wrote on the microblogging platform.
Directed by Atlee Kumar, a prominent Tamil filmmaker, Jawan is an action-packed thriller revolving around a man's mission to rectify the wrongs of society and fulfil a promise he made years ago. However, his personal vendetta leads him to confront a fearless and menacing outlaw.
Jawan, the Hindi word for soldier, also features Vijay Sethupathi and Nayanthara in prominent roles. Initially scheduled for a June release, it will now hit theaters on September 7. T-Series recently bagged the music rights of the film for a record-breaking sum of Rs 36 crore.
Shah Rukh’s previous film Pathaan, an action thriller directed by Siddharth Anand, emerged as the highest-grossing Hindi film of all time, earning Rs 1050 crore gross worldwide. Deepika Padukone, his co-star in Pathaan, is likely to play a cameo in Jawan.
