A special pre-release event for Shah Rukh Khan’s Jawan will take place at Sai Ram Engineering College in Chennai on Wednesday afternoon, the Bollywood star has posted on X.

With less than 10 days to go for the release of Jawan, Shah Rukh’s announcement on Tuesday created a buzz among his fans. “Greetings Chennai, I'm on my way! All the young individuals at Sai Ram Engineering College, get ready. I'm eagerly looking forward to meeting all of you! I might even dance if requested. See you tomorrow starting from 3 PM,” the actor wrote on the microblogging site.

Jawan director Atlee too shared his enthusiasm on social media about the upcoming pre-release event as he uploaded a photo of the stage arrangement at the location on Instagram. “Thrilled to meet everyone. After a gap of 3 years, the #jawan pre-release event tomorrow from 3 PM to 7 PM @sairamec.” he wrote alongside the picture.

Jawan, which also stars Nayanthara and Vijay Sethupathi alongside Shah Rukh, is slated to hit the theatres on September 7 in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu. Three songs — Zinda Banda, Chaleya and Not Ramaiya Vastavaiya — from the film, composed by Anirudh Ravichander, have already been released and have managed to stir up significant excitement among the audience.

The trailer of Jawan is likely to be unveiled by Shah Rukh on August 31 at Burj Khalifa in Dubai.
