Jawan director Atlee has hinted at working on a tweaked version of the Shah Rukh Khan-headlined blockbuster with a different “rhythm” for the OTT audience.

“I think we have given the theatre the right ratio of emotions at the right length. For OTT, we are considering a different rhythm. So, yeah, we are working on something. That’s why I didn't go on my holiday. Let’s see. Let me surprise you all,” the 36-year-old director said in an interview with an Indian entertainment portal.

Streaming giant Netflix has already struck a deal for Jawan’s OTT release.

Atlee, who made his Bollywood debut with Jawan, also talked about the possibility of a Jawan sequel while talking about the end credit scene. “Every film of mine has such kind of ending. I never had a thought of doing a sequel to any of the films, But I have given an open heart to it. So, if something strong comes to me, definitely I will come up with that. As of now, I have kept it very open. I can come up with a sequel later, But definitely, I’ll come,” he added.

When asked which one of his own characters he would turn into a spin-off, Atlee responded, “Vikram Rathore is my hero. Maybe I’ll release a follow-up to that at some point.”

The director claimed that because he is a “daddy's boy”, strong father figures are preferred in all of his movies.

Produced by Red Chillies Entertainment, the action-entertainer is inching closer to Rs 900 crore mark at the worldwide box office and the Rs 500 crore milestone in India.

Apart from Shah Rukh, Jawan boasts a star-studded cast including Nayanthara and Vijay Sethupathi in important roles. The film also features Sanya Malhotra, Priyamani, Girija Oak, Sanjeeta Bhattacharya, Lehar Khan, Aaliyah Qureshi, Ridhi Dogra, Sunil Grover and Mukesh Chhabra, along with special appearances by Deepika Padukone and Sanjay Dutt.
