The Janhvi Kapoor-led political thriller Ulajh is now streaming on Netflix, the streaming platform announced on Friday, sharing a poster of the film on social media.
“In a world where every word is a lie and every step a risk, how far will she go for the pursuit of truth? Watch Ulajh, now on Netflix,” wrote the official Instagram page of the streaming platform.
Ulajh is directed by Sudhanshu Saria, who co-wrote the story with Parveez Shaikh. Atika Chohan penned the dialogues for the film.
The spy thriller follows Janhvi’s Suhana Bhatia, an Indian diplomat, as she finds herself embroiled in a dangerous political conspiracy abroad. Suhana secures an enviable post in the Indian embassy in London. However, she soon finds herself being blackmailed with a sex tape by Gulshan Devaiah’s Nakul Sharma, her would-be lover who turns out to be an enemy operative. She now has to leak out top-secret information to ensure that her private moments are not made public.
Also starring Adil Hussain, Meiyang Chang, Roshan Mathew, Rajesh Tailang and Jitendra Joshi in key roles, Ulajh was released theatrically on August 2. The film is jointly produced by Vineet Jain and Amrita Pandey.
Ulajh grossed approximately Rs 11.25 crore worldwide, according to industry data-tracking site Sacnilk.
On the work front, Janhvi’s Telugu debut Devara, which features her opposite Jr. NTR, hit the cinemas today. The 27-year-old actress is set to star opposite Varun Dhawan in Dharma Productions’ upcoming romcom Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari.
