Janhvi Kapoor playfully makes faces at the camera, cracks jokes and even sings a tune in a fresh behind-the-scenes video from the sets of Sharan Sharma’s upcoming sports drama Mr. & Mrs. Mahi, dropped by the actress on Instagram on Thursday.
“I was clearly losing my mind on set on most days…#MrandMrsMahi out tomorrow ❤️❤️❤️❤️ book your tickets now,” wrote Janhvi alongside the video.
The video shows the actress getting irritated with the person behind the camera and saying, "Aaj ke liye itna hi footage milega." Pulling back her pallu, Janhvi jokingly comments on her transition from "JK" to "Insta JK". She also performs a romantic number with a male mannequin, reviews her shots and calls for music. The video concludes with Janhvi relaxing on the ground and revealing that she has written a poem.
Also starring Rajkummar Rao, Mr. & Mrs. Mahi centres on Mahima (Janhvi), a doctor with a keen interest in cricket, who enters into an arranged marriage with Mahendra (Rajkummar), an aspiring cricketer. After Mahendra’s dreams of becoming an acclaimed cricketer are dashed, he discovers his wife's cricketing talent and decides to coach her, encouraging her to chase her own dreams.
Mr. & Mrs. Mahi, which will hit theatres on May 31, marks Rajkummar and Janhvi’s second collaboration after the 2021 Hardik Mehta-directed horror comedy Roohi. It is also the second time Janhvi will be teaming up with director Sharan Sharma after Gunjan Saxena: The Kargil Girl (2020).
The makers of Mr. & Mrs. Mahi recently announced that tickets for the Rajkummar Rao and Janhvi Kapoor-starrer will be available at a discounted price of Rs 99 upon its release to mark Cinema Lovers's Day on May 31.
