Actress Jamie Lee Curtis has heaped praise on the team behind Season 3 of the Disney+ Hotstar series The Bear, calling the episode she featured in recently a "beautifully written, directed and acted" production.
“Happy BEARthday to @thebearfx chapter 3! All us humans share the same thing. Wherever we live in the universe, whatever our circumstances....we were all born. Birth is painful and dangerous and exquisite,” Curtis, who appeared in the Ice Chips episode of the show, wrote on Instagram on Thursday.
“I couldn't ask to be a part of a more beautifully written, directed and acted episode of television than ICE CHIP,” she further wrote.
Curtis acknowledged her fellow actors on the set, mentioning Abby Elliott, Ayo Edebiri, Matty Matheson, and Ricky Staffieri. She described them as "superb scene partners" and commended the show for blending "creativity and humour".
The actress plays the role of Donna Berzatto, mother of Carmen (Jeremy Allen White), Micheal (Jon Bernthal) and Natalie (Abby Elliott) on the show. She appeared in the series through flashbacks in the season's first episode and in family photos Carmy keeps tucked inside his office. Her character takes the centre stage in the eighth episode of Season 3.
Other actors who appeared in cameo roles in The Bear Season 3 include Jon Bernthal, John Mulaney, Joel McHale, Gillian Jacobs, David Zayas, Keith Kupferer, Thomas Keller, and Josh Hartnett.
The Bear follows a young chef, Carmen, played by Jeremy Allen White, who inherits his family's struggling Chicago sandwich shop.
