Comedian Pete Davidson played a cameo in the recently released Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, filmmaker James Gunn has revealed in response to a fan’s question on Twitter.

Replying to a question about cameos in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) films, Gunn shared pictures of Davidson with other cast members of the film and wrote, “... And my friend Pete not only voiced but actually came to visit us in Atlanta for a day and played Phlektik on set.”

Gunn said that he voiced the “beautiful Lambshank” in the film but he couldn’t show her on Twitter. “I don't want to show her here because she's too gorgeous & I don't want folks to feel bad about themselves in comparison.”

One of the pictures shared by Gunn featured the director along with Davidson and star Chris Pratt.

In Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, Davidson played the character of alien Phlektik who goes on to serve as a henchman for the High Evolutionary that was played by Chukwudi Iwuji.

This is not the first time that Davidson has worked with the filmmaker. He had previously worked in the DC film The Suicide Squad in which he played the role of Blackguard.

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 was released in theatres worldwide on May 5. It stars Chris Pratt as Peter Quill/Star-Lord, Zoe Saldana as Gamora, Dave Bautista as Drax the Destroyer, Karen Gillan as Nebula, Pom Klementieff as Mantis. Vin Diesel voice-stars as Groot and Bradley Cooper as Rocket in the film.
