DC Studios CEO James Gunn revealed the official logo for his DCU superhero movie Superman: Legacy, starring David Corenswet in the lead role, on Thursday.
Gunn shared the logo, reminding fans that the highly-anticipated superhero movie will hit the theatres on July 11, 2025. “In exactly one year #superman opens all over the world,” he wrote on X.
Superman: Legacy is the first official entry in the new DCU overseen by Gunn and Peter Safran. The story follows the caped superhero as he balances his heritage with his human upbringing. He represents truth, justice and the American way in a world that sees these values as outdated.
Alongside Corenswet, the cast includes Rachel Brosnahan as Lois Lane, Nicholas Hoult as Lex Luthor, Skyler Gisondo as Jimmy Olsen, Wendell Pierce as Perry White, Pruitt Taylor Vince as Jonathan Kent, Neva Howell as Martha Kent and Isabela Merced as Hawkgirl.
Superman: Legacy will also feature Edi Gathegi as Mister Terrific, Nathan Fillion as Guy Gardner, Anthony Carrigan as Metamorpho, María Gabriela de Faría as The Engineer, Sara Sampaio as Eve Teschmacher, Beck Bennett as Steve Lombard and Mikaela Hoover as Cat Grant.
Additionally, Will Reeve, son of the late Superman actor Christopher Reeve, is set to appear in the film in a special role.
