James Cameron’s blockbuster film Avatar: The Way of Water will be available to stream on rent on Prime Video, Apple TV, Vudu and Movies Anywhere from March 28, makers of the sci-fi fantasy drama have announced.
“Return to Pandora whenever you want at home, only on Digital March 28. Get access to over three hours of never-before-seen extras when you add #AvatarTheWayOfWater to your movie collection,” the official Instagram handle of the movie posted on Thursday.
Starring Sam Worthington, Zoe Saldaña, Kate Winslet, Stephen Lang and Sigourney Weaver in significant roles, Avatar: The Way of Water released in theatres on December 16, 2022. With a collection of USD 2.28 billion, the sci-fi adventure has become the third-highest-grossing film of all time. Only Cameron’s 2009 epic Avatar (USD 2.9 billion) and Avengers: Endgame (USD 2.7 billion) have earnings higher than Avatar 2.
Set more than ten years after the events of the first movie, The Way of Water revolves around Jake Sully (Sam Worthington) and his Na’vi wife Neytiri (Zoe Saldana) and their kids. Their peaceful family life goes for a toss when humans return to Pandora. Colonel Miles Quaritch (Stephen Lang), who was killed in the first movie, returns in his Avatar form to exact revenge on Sully and Neytiri.
