Actor Jackie Shroff will dub 350 shows available on Amazon Prime Video in his classic ‘Jaggu Dada’ accent inspired by the Mumbai lingo, the streamer announced on April Fool’s Day alongside a hilarious video of the 67-year-old dubbing some of the popular lines of hit shows and films on the platform.

“From maa ki mamta to bambai ki janta, everything is 3x more entertaining on JAGGU DADA MODE, unlock now only on Prime Video App,” the streamer wrote on Instagram, alongside the video that shows Jackie dubbing a range of popular shows in his signature style.

“Mereko jab Prime Video ka phone aaya mereko laga koi naya show krna hai, mereko kya malum ki 350 show karne ka hai (When I got a call from Prime Video, I thought they wanted me to do a new show. I had no idea that they wanted me to do 350 shows),” the Sardar Saab actor humorously quips in his vivacious and rowdy accent as he enters the recording studio with spider plants for everyone.

Prime Video India also highlighted that while shows, movies and series can be enjoyed in multiple languages across various OTT platforms, it is introducing for the first time ever the Jaggu Dada mode, a unique feature that capitalises on Jackie’s signature style of speaking.

In this mode, Jackie hilariously translates iconic dialogues from different shows and movies, infusing them with his trademark flair.

“Ye jo duniya hai na usme sirf ek ich lok hai, bhidu lok,” says Jackie, translating an iconic dialogue from the crime thriller series Patal Lok (2020).

The actor also recreated the celebrated haircut scene from the 2016 comedy drama series Fleabag. “I look like a pencil” was Sian Clifford’s original dialogue in Phoebe Waller-Bridge's show. In the Jaggu Dada mode, however, it becomes “Mein ekdum kaandi dikhti hu”. “Raapchik Kaandi” is Jackie’s amusing translation of Fleabag’s reply.

Jackie’s interpretation of popular dialogues from the 2019 shows Made in Heaven, Four More Shots Please and The Boys left everyone at the studio in stitches.

Equally hilarious is the actor's metal rock version of a song from last year’s period drama series Jubilee. The streamer said that the new feature is aimed at unleashing the energetic and free-spirited ‘bhidu’ in all of us.

However, at the end of the video, it is revealed that the whole thing was a fictitious feature, created solely to celebrate the spirit of April Fool’s Day.
