The Jaane Tu... Ya Jaane Na gang, including Imran Khan and Genelia Deshmukh, celebrated the Abbas Tyrewala directorial’s 16th anniversary on Thursday by performing its title song in a video shared by Aamir Khan Productions.

Apart from Imran and Genelia, the video also features Alishka Varde Singh, Sugandha Garg, Manjari Fadnnis, Nirav Mehta and Karan Makhija. Murli Sharma suddenly appears, repeating what he said to Jai (Imran) and Aditi (Genelia) at the airport in the film.

“16 years and we are still singing this song for everyone we love,” Aamir Khan Productions captioned the video on Instagram.

Marking Imran and Prateik Babbar’s acting debut, Jaane Tu... Ya Jaane Na follows the lives of Jai and Aditi. They refuse to acknowledge their romantic feelings for each other but eventually realise the truth once they start dating different people. The soundtrack of the film was composed by A. R. Rahman.

Jaane Tu... Ya Jaane Na also featured Ayaz Khan, Ratna Pathak, Naseeruddin Shah, Paresh Rawal, Sohail Khan and Arbaaz Khan in key roles. It was theatrically released on July 4, 2008.

While Imran is reportedly making his comeback soon, Genelia returned to full-time acting after 10 years with her husband Riteish Deshmukh in Bhushan Kumar's Mister Mummy (2022). She also starred in and produced the Marathi film Ved, which marks Riteish’s directorial debut.
