Shooting for actress Huma Qureshi’s investigative police procedural drama Bayaan is complete, the makers announced on Wednesday, dropping a video featuring moments from the wrap party.
“𝐀𝐧𝐝 𝐢𝐭’𝐬 𝐚 𝐰𝐫𝐚𝐩 𝐨𝐧 𝐁𝐚𝐲𝐚𝐚𝐧 An incredible journey, that would not have been possible without this incredible cast and crew. Thank you all,” production banner Platoon One Films wrote on Instagram alongside the video.
In the video, Qureshi, her co-actor Sachin Khedakar and director Bikas Mishra are seen hugging other cast and crew of the film.
The drama follows Roohi, played by Qureshi, a detective sent to a small town in Rajasthan to investigate her first case as a lead investigator.
The film is backed by the Hubert Bals Fund from the International Film Festival Rotterdam and was developed through the LA Residency, part of the Global Media Makers (GMM) programme by Film Independent in Los Angeles. During this residency, Bikas was mentored by Craig Mazin, the creator of HBO's Chernobyl and The Last of Us, and received script guidance from writer Jeff Stockwell and story editor Ruth Atkinson.
Produced by Shiladitya Bora, the film also features Chandrachur Singh, Shampa Mandal, Priti Shukla, Vibhor Mayank and Aditi Kanchan Singh.
