The 52nd International Emmy Awards, honouring the best television programmes produced outside the United States in 2023, were held Tuesday at the New York Hilton Midtown. Hosted by Indian comedian Vir Das, the event brought together global talent to celebrate outstanding achievements in television.
The evening saw British actor Timothy Spall receive the best performance by an actor award for his role in The Sixth Commandment, while Thai actress Chutimon Chuengcharoensukying was named best actress for her portrayal in Hunger.
Drops of God, a French-American-Japanese series, took home the best drama series award, edging out India’s The Night Manager. Argentina’s División Palermo won best comedy series.
