Actress Sonakshi Sinha and her boyfriend Zaheer Iqbal got married on June 23 in Mumbai after dating for seven years. Here’s a look at some moments from their wedding day.
Last seen in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Netflix web series Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar, Sonakshi went for an embroidered white sari for the special day. Zaheer twinned with his bride in an embroidered white kurta. “On this very day, seven years back (23.06.2017) in each other’s eyes, we saw love in its purest form and decided to hold on to it…Here’s to love, hope and all things beautiful with each other, from now until forever ,” the couple mentioned in a joint statement.
A chunky stone-studded statement necklace, matching danglers and bejewelled bangles complemented Sonakshi’s ensemble. The actress also opted for kohl-rimmed eyes, a nude lip shade, darkened eyebrows, a bindi and a sleek bun adorned with white roses.
As per media reports, the couple, who first met on the sets of Notebook (2017), registered their marriage at Sonakshi’s Bandra apartment. They were surrounded by their loved ones, including the bride’s father Shatrughan Sinha who looked dapper in a black kurta.
Zaheer’s father Iqbal Ratansi was also present at the event. He sported a baby pink kurta.
Sonakshi’s Double XL co-star Huma Qureshi, who sported a mauve suit with sequined borders, also shared a selfie with the newlyweds. Rapper Honey Singh has also dropped videos from the day on his Instagram stories.
