Disney-Pixar's Inside Out 2 has emerged as the fastest animated film to reach the USD 1-billion mark at the global box office by achieving the feat in just 19 days, according to Box Office Mojo.
Until Sunday, this record was held by Walt Disney Animation Studios’ Frozen II (2019), which collected USD 1 billion in 25 days.
According to Box Office Mojo, the Kelsey Mann-helmed animated film minted the USD 469.3 million in North America and USD 545.5 million from international markets, totalling a worldwide gross of USD 1.015 billion.
Inside Out 2 has struck a chord with audiences worldwide, riding a wave of critical acclaim for its heartwarming story and relatable characters. The film follows Riley, now a teenager, as her Emotions navigate the complexities of adolescence.
This milestone makes Inside Out 2 the first movie of 2024 to reach the billion-dollar mark, solidifying its position as a box office juggernaut.
