Indian Film Festival of Melbourne (IFFM) 2024 in its 15th edition announces nominations

Festival will see Shah Rukh Khan competing for the award in Best Actor category with some luminous talents across languages, including Vikrant Massey, Fahadh Faasil, Ranveer Singh, Kartik Aaryan and Mithun Chakraborty, among others

Shah Rukh Khan has been nominated in the Best Actor category for both Jawan (in picture) and Dunki

The Indian Film Festival of Melbourne (IFFM) 2024, that returns with its 15th edition, has announced its nominations.

Backed and presented by the Victorian Government in Australia, an annual celebration of Indian cinema, showcasing the best films, digital series and talents from India, the festival aims to promote cultural exchange and celebrate the diversity of Indian cinema on an international stage.

This year, the festival will see Shah Rukh Khan competing for the award in the Best Actor category with some luminous talents across languages, including Vikrant Massey, Fahadh Faasil, Ranveer Singh, Kartik Aaryan and Mithun Chakraborty, among others. Alia Bhatt will be competing for the coveted Best Actress category alongside Jyothika and Parvathy Thiruvothu and emerging talents Nitanshi Goel and Pratibha Ranta, the leading ladies of Laapataa Ladies. In the OTT category shows and talents of series, including Heeramandi, Poacher, Made In Heaven Season 2 among others have earned nominations.

Set to be hosted at the Palais Theatre in Melbourne between August 15 and 25, the winners will be announced at the annual gala night on August 16.
