Nine highly-anticipated Tamil movies, including Kamal Haasan’s Indian 2 and Vikram’s Thangalaan, will stream on Netflix in 2024 following their theatrical run, revealed the streamer on Wednesday.
The lineup features acclaimed actors like Vijay Sethupathi, Keerthy Suresh, Sivakarthikeyan and RJ Balaji in diverse roles.
Netflix aims to cater to a wider audience by providing dubbed versions of these movies in Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam. Additionally, the streaming service will offer Hindi-dubbed versions of four marquee titles — Maharaja, Sivakarthikeyan 21, Thangalaan and Indian 2.
The other titles in this slate are Kannivedi, Revolver Reeta, SorgaVaasal and Conjuring Kannappan and Vidaa Muyarchi.
Kamal Haasan’s Indian 2 serves as a sequel to the actor’s critically-acclaimed 1996 vigilante action thriller Indian. The official release date for the film is yet to be announced.
Thangalaan, directed by Pa Ranjith and starring Vikram, Malavika Mohanan, and Parvathy Thiruvothu, is another eagerly anticipated project. Scheduled to hit theaters in April this year, the film promises to be a cinematic treat for fans.
Ajith’s Vidaa Muyarchi, directed by Magizh Thirumeni and featuring Arjun Sarja, Trisha and Regina Cassandra, adds to the diverse mix. The release date for this star-studded film is yet to be revealed, keeping fans on the edge of their seats.
