Actress Ileana D'Cruz, who welcomed her baby boy in August as a single mom, revealed that she is not single-parenting and shared a picture of her partner during an #AskMeAnything session on Instagram on Friday.
When a fan asked Ileana about the experience of single parenting her child, the 37-year-old actress simply replied, “I’m not.” She also dropped a photo of her partner for the first time since her pregnancy announcement around this time last year. Both Ileana and her partner look at each other and are all smiles in the photo.
Earlier this year, Ileana had shared a post for her partner. “And on the days I forget to be kind to myself, this lovely man has been my rock. He’s held me when he feels me starting to crack. And wipes the tears away. And cracks goofy jokes to make me smile. Or just offers a hug when he knows that’s exactly what I need at that moment. And everything doesn’t seem so hard anymore.”
During Friday’s #AskMeAnything session, another fan asked Ileana about her feelings when she saw her baby for the first time and whether her mother supported her during that time. Ileana replied that her mother had stood beside her through “the whole process of pregnancy, delivery and motherhood”. “I’m honestly blessed to have her. Nothing really prepares you for the first time you see your baby. It was just so overwhelming and beautiful,” she also mentioned.
Ileana further wrote about her reaction when she found out she was pregnant a year back. “Found out pretty much exactly one year ago that I was pregnant and it was the most surreal unbelievably emotional moment,” she wrote, before adding how it still feels “surreal” holding her baby boy in her arms.
On August 5, Ileana had announced on Instagram that she welcomed a baby boy and captioned the post, “No words could explain how happy we are to welcome our darling boy to the world. Hearts beyond full.”
Ileana is best-known for her roles in films such as Barfi!, Phata Poster Nikla Hero and Happy Ending. The actress has the film Unfair And Lovely, starring Randeep Hooda, in her lineup.
