National Award-winning actors Vicky Kaushal and Abhishek Bachchan will host International Indian Film Academy and Awards (IIFA) 2023 at the Etihad Arena on Yas Island in Abu Dhabi from May 26 to 27.
The 23rd edition of the annual event, which raises a toast to the best talents in Indian cinema, brings together dignitaries, international media, fans, and film enthusiasts from across the world. This year’s ceremony will see live performances by Bollywood A-listers like Salman Khan, Varun Dhawan, Karan Johar and Kriti Sanon.
“My journey with IIFA goes back by seven years to my first film — Masaan — when I won the best debut award, followed by the best supporting actor award for Sanju (2018) and the best actor award for Sardar Udham (2021) last year,” said Vicky.
“I can’t wait to be back at the IIFA Awards ceremony and to host the event alongside Abhishek Bachchan,” he added.
On his part, Abhishek expressed his happiness at the opportunity to host the award ceremony. “It gives me immense pleasure to celebrate at IIFA the very best of the extraordinary range that Indian cinema has to offer. It’s like an annual pilgrimage and an absolute honour to entertain the fans there and connect with them globally. I look forward to hosting the IIFA Awards ceremony this year. See you all there!” he said.
IIFA 2023 will be held in collaboration with the Department of Culture and Tourism — Abu Dhabi (DCT Abu Dhabi) and Miral, Abu Dhabi's leading creator of immersive destinations and experiences. NEXA continues its partnership as the title sponsor for the seventh consecutive edition of the award ceremony.
