I Hate Christmas
Netflix has unveiled the trailer of its upcoming Italian holiday special romantic comedy series I Hate Christmas, starring Pilar Fogliati and Nicolas Maupas.
In the trailer, we see a single nurse begin a desperate search to find a partner by Christmas after lying to her family about having a boyfriend — which is in 24 days. The synopsis reads, “Every Christmas is the same story-and your loved one? Determined to avoid all the awkward questions about her love life, Gianna is devising a plan to find a boyfriend to come with her to the Christmas dinner, in less than 25 days.”
I Hate Christmas will be streaming on Netflix from December 7.
Fall
Disney+Hotstar on Friday late evening dropped the teaser of its upcoming thriller series Fall. The series, helmed by Siddharth Ramasamy, stars Anjali in the lead role alongside SPB Charan, Sonia Aggarwal, Santhosh Pratap, Rajmohan, Sastika Rajendran, Namita Krishnamurthy.
The one-minute teaser shows Anjali standing on top of a tall building. The next moment, she is shown falling down the building as the shot cuts back to Anjali with an injury on her forehead. The series appears to be a mystery thriller.
Meet Cute
Sony Liv on Saturday dropped the official teaser of the upcoming Telugu-language series Meet Cute. It is produced by Telugu star Nani under his production banner Wall Poster Cinema and directed by his sister and debutante Deepthi Ghanta. The show stars Satyaraj, Adah Sharma, Varsha Bollamma, Ruhani Sharma, Rohini, Akanksha Singh and Sanchita Poonacha.
The teaser promises an anthology series dominated by mostly female characters. It hints at a love story — a familiar drama, misunderstanding and then reconciliation. The five episodes will revolve around five adorable stories of urban love and family.
Vedha
Zee Studios has shared a new teaser of Kannada starKarunada Chakravarthy Dr ShivrajKumar’s upcoming 125th film Vedha. Directed by A Harsha, the period action film also features Ganavi Laxman, Umashree, Aditi Sagar, Swetha Changappa, Veena Ponnappa, Raghu Shivamogga, Jaggapaa and Cheluvaraj.
The trailer takes us to the brutal 1060s and shows us glimpses of a lawless place. It focuses on the symbolic weapon of the farmers — sickle — which has a larger political context. Here it becomes the weapon of both men and women in their bid for survival. At the end, we see Dr Shivrajkumar holding a sickle in his hands as he emerges unfazed after a brutal fight.
Vedha will hit the cinemas on December 23.
