Actress Huma Qureshi penned a note to her 16-year-old self and shared photos of herself from childhood on Thursday.

Taking to Instagram, the 37-year-old actress wrote, “Getting here wasn’t easy and staying here won’t be either, but would I do it all again? Without a doubt. Let your dreams be the light that guides you.”

Huma thanked her younger self for standing strong during the tough times and for providing her the courage to trust her beliefs and choices. She recalled the time she landed in Mumbai without knowing anyone and went to auditions and meetings with unwavering determination.

The actress also wondered what her younger self would have done had she met some of the characters portrayed by her in recent years. “I wonder Huma, what would you think of Rani Bharati in Maharani or Rajshri in Double XL or Monica Machado in Monica O My Darling? I think you will like them,” she wrote in the note.

Huma, who plays Rani Bharati in the SonyLIV web series Maharani, made her acting debut with Gangs of Wasseypur in 2012. Season 3 of the series also stars Vineet Kumar, Kani Kusruti, Anuja Sathe, and Dibyendu Bhattacharya in pivotal roles.
