Actresses Huma Qureshi and Avantika Dassani are set to reprise their roles as Juhi Adhikari and Rhea Rajguru in Season 2 of the Rohan Sippy-directed psychological thriller Mithya, ZEE5 announced on Thursday, sharing a poster of the show’s upcoming instalment on social media.

“Let the game of secrets and revenge begin. #MithyaNewSeason coming soon only on ZEE5,” reads a post on the streaming platform’s official Instagram page.

The poster also features actors Naveen Kasturia and Rajit Kapur. Tollywood actors Indraneil Sengupta and Anindita Bose are expected to play key roles in the upcoming season of Mithya.

The series is adapted from the British television show Cheat and revolves around Rhea’s vindictive attempts to exact revenge on her Hindi Literature professor Juhi, who had accused her of plagiarism.

Produced by Applause Entertainment and Rose Audio Visual Production, the first season of Mithya, which comprised six episodes, premiered on ZEE5 on February 18, 2022.

Mithya Season 1 marked Avantika’s acting debut and also featured Rajit Kapur, Samir Soni and Tollywood actor Parambrata Chatterjee in pivotal roles.

On the work front, Huma recently wrapped up shooting for Bikas Mishra's investigative police procedural drama Bayaan, which also stars Sachin Khedakar, Chandrachur Singh, Shampa Mandal, Priti Shukla, Vibhor Mayank and Aditi Kanchan Singh.
