Hugh Jackman has been delighting fans by flaunting his iconic yellow Wolverine suit in mirror selfies and behind-the-scenes pictures following the release of Deadpool & Wolverine on July 26. Here’s a look.
Jackman, who sported the bold yellow Wolverine suit for the first time in the Shawn Levy directorial, took a mirror selfie while a makeup artist worked on his hair. The actor did not wear the suit in any of the original X-Men movies. However, the iconic costume was teased in a deleted scene from The Wolverine (2013).

Fans were thrilled to finally see Wolverine in his iconic costume on the big screen. In another mirror selfie, Jackman wore a pair of shades and showed off the yellow suit featuring bullet holes and dust, possibly after a fight with Ryan Reynolds’ Deadpool in the film.
A BTS picture shows Jackman using resistance bands for a pre-shoot muscle pump in the boot of a car. The 55-year-old underwent intense training to transform his body for the role.
Jackman, Reynolds and Levy were engrossed in conversation after filming for a scene in the Void, where Deadpool stabs Wolverine through the chest during one of their fights.
Sharing a picture with Wesley Snipes, who plays the role of Blade, Jackman called the actor a “legend”. Jackman was all smiles wearing a black compression jacket over his yellow Wolverine suit.
“The huddle between takes was my favorite part,” Levy captioned a set of monochrome pictures from the set, featuring him huddling with Jackman and Reynolds.
Jackman put on his iconic mask with wing-like extensions in a selfie with Reynolds and Levy. “One cowl. Two best mates. Enough said,” he wrote. In the X-Men movies, Wolverine wore a black leather suit with yellow accents, which was a departure from the character’s comic book look.
