Birthday boy Hrithik Roshan, who achieved instant stardom with his debut film Kaho Naa... Pyaar Hai back in 2000, has grown as an actor over the years, enthralling the audience with his killer dance moves, Greek god-like looks and acting skills. As the Fighter star turns 50, we take a look at some moments from his growing years as an artiste.
On his Fighter co-star Anil Kapoor’s 67th birthday last year, Hrithik recalled working as an assistant director on the latter’s 1992 film Khel. “Sets may have changed, scripts may have changed and I may have graduated from being his AD in Khel to costar in #Fighter - but @anilskapoor’s energy and mastery of craft remains as incredible as ever,” he wrote on Instagram.

Hrithik once revealed in an Instagram post that he backed out at the last minute from singing a line in Amitabh Bachchan’s 1979 film Mr Natwarlal out of nervousness. “There is a little bit of Amitabh Bachchan in each one of us. Open mouthed and full of wonder. That’s how I still am when I see the man,” he wrote on the occasion of the Bollywood veteran’s 79th birthday.
To mark the occasion of Raksha Bandhan, Hrithik shared a throwback picture from 1996 with his sister Sunaina Roshan and recreated the photo in 2022. “That moment in 1996. We still look the same,” he captioned his post.
Recalling how his maternal grandfather producer-director J. Om Prakash told him that Maha Shivratri is dedicated to “co-existing”, Hrithik dropped a throwback picture of him with Om Prakash.
In 2016, Hrithik revealed that as a budding actor he was a huge fan of Amitabh Bachchan. Sharing a picture of his younger self with the Bollywood veteran, he wrote, “Sweet! Who found this? my fan moment as a kid! I think there's a little bit of Bachchan in every actor since. Agree?”
