Hrithik Roshan and Deepika Padukone-starrer Fighter is soaring high at the box office, having crossed the Rs 60-crore nett milestone in the first two days of release.
The aerial action thriller kicked off its theatrical run with an impressive start, collecting Rs 22.5 crore nett on its opening day. The film witnessed substantial growth on its first Friday, adding an estimated Rs 39 crore nett to its box office collections.
According to the industry-tracking website Sacnilk, the movie experienced a remarkable 52 per cent growth in occupancy for evening shows, coupled with an additional 45.40 per cent growth for night shows on the Republic Day holiday. This surge in audience turnout has propelled the film’s total earnings, with early estimates placing it at an impressive figure exceeding Rs 61.5 crore nett.
Directed by Siddharth Anand, the man behind blockbusters like Pathaan and War, Fighter pays homage to the valour, sacrifice and patriotism of the Indian Air Force. The star-studded cast, including Anil Kapoor, Karan Singh Grover and Akshay Oberoi, brings to life the narrative of Air Dragons, an elite unit commissioned by the Air headquarters in response to militant activities in the Srinagar Valley.
