Akshay Kumar and Riteish Deshmukh-starrer Housefull 5 is slated to hit theatres on Diwali 2024, the two actors have announced on social media.
"Get ready for FIVE times the madness," Akshay wrote on Instagram, announcing a Diwali 2024 release of the Tarun Mansukhani-directed film on Friday.
“India’s biggest comedy franchise is back,” reads the poster shared by Akshay.
“We're back! 💥 And this time, we're surely going to make your Diwali brighter! 😍,” Riteish wrote on his Instagram, sharing the same poster.
Produced by Sajid Nadiawal, Housefull 5 will be the first-ever franchise film in Indian Cinema to have five installments.
While it is confirmed that Akshay and Riteish will star in the upcoming film, the makers are yet to announce the names of other cast members.
The first four Housefull films were directed by Sajid Khan and Farhad Samji. Deepika Padukone, Lara Dutta, Jacqueline Fernandez, Arjun Rampal, Abhishek Bachchan, Kriti Sanon, Chunky Panday and Boman Irani have been a part of the previous four instalments of the film franchise.
