Rhaenyra Targaryen sends her faction’s dragons to Riverlands for an epic showdown between the Blacks and the Greens in the Episode 4 trailer of the Game of Thrones prequel series House of the Dragons, dropped by the makers recently.

The 55-second-long trailer begins with a conversation between Rhaenyra and Rhaenys about their next step in the Dance of the Dragons, which has escalated to a point where neither of the warring factions remember the initial reasons for the battle.

“When the desire to burn and kill takes hold, reason is forgotten,” Rhaenys says, while intense scenes showing the Kingmaker Ser Criston Cole and Jacaerys Velaryon play in the background.

While Aegon and Aemond decide to fuel the ensuing war, the Black council tries to gain advantage by sending their dragons to the battlefield. The trailer ends with Rhaenys warning the Blacks about inviting their own destruction if both the factions let their dragons loose.

Based on George RR Martin’s novel Fire & Blood, House of the Dragon revolves around House Targaryen’s history, starting from Aegon’s Conquest to the Dance of the Dragons. A constant power struggle ensues among his heirs, leading to a tumultuous era.
