With only two episodes remaining in House of Dragon Season 2, the conflict between the Greens and the Blacks has reached a feverish pitch, shows the Episode 7 trailer dropped by the makers on Monday.
The trailer hints that Daeron, the 16-year-old son of King Viserys (Paddy Considine) and Alicent Hightower (Olivia Cooke), who has been living as a ward in Oldtown, has taken flight to join the battle.
In Episode 6 of House of the Dragon Season 2, Jace (Harry Collett) and Rhaenyra’s (Emma D’Arcy) plan to have other Valyrians claim the riderless dragons on Dragonstone goes awry. Ser Steffon Darklyn (Anthony Flanagan), the Lord Commander of Rhaenyra’s Queensguard, who is believed to have Targaryen blood, fails to bond with Seasmoke and meets a fiery end.
By the end of the episode, Seasmoke finally accepts Addam of Hull (Clinton Liberty) as his rider. Addam, a bastard of Corlys Velaryon, has Velaryon blood.
In the 67-second long trailer for House of The Dragon Season Episode 7, Rhaenyra confronts Addam about his loyalties. Addam’s father Corlys is aligned with Rhaenyra and now serves as Hand of the Queen. This suggests that Addam, along with Seasmoke, will likely join the Blacks, fulfilling Jace and Rhaenyra’s initial plan.
The trailer also shows Rhaenyra finally confronting Daemon (Matt Smith) at Harrenhal, where he is haunted by his dreams. Meanwhile, Aemond’s (Ewan Mitchell) actions are starting to alarm Alicent. Aemond is also counting on his allies, including his youngest brother Daeron, whose dragon Tessarion is ready for battle.
