Hollywood veteran Clint Eastwood has expressed his intention to watch Tamil filmmaker Kartik Subbaraj’s latest release Jigarthanda Double X, leaving the latter ecstatic.
The development comes after fans of the film reached out to Eastwood via X (formerly Twitter), prompting a heartwarming response from the actor's team.
A fan of the movie tweeted to Clint Eastwood's official Twitter page, saying, "Dear @RealTheClint We are Indians. We made a Tamil movie called Jigarthanda Double X. It's available on Netflix. Raghava Lawrence tweeted, "Thx a lot sirrrrrrrrr we are very happy that this movie reached U my self and @iam_SJSuryah, we r die-hard fans of U sir & our director @karthiksubbaraj sir is the maddest die-hard fan of U sir @RealTheClint."

Jigarthanda Double X, a sequel to Subbaraj’s 2014 film Jigarthanda, is a thought-provoking narrative questioning the rampant exploitation of natural resources by people in power. Featuring Nimisha Sajayan, Shine Tom Chacko, Naveen Chandra, and Ilavarasu in pivotal roles, the movie pays tributes not only to Eastwood but also to Satyajit Ray and Rajinikanth.
