Following the success of its previous ventures, Hoichoi is set to bring back beloved creators such as Amitabh Reza Chowdhury and Ashfaque Nipun. Additionally, the platform is elevating its content offerings by collaborating with renowned directors Vicky Zahed, Shihab Shaheen, and Anam Biswas.

The streaming platform has also announced a lineup of top actors and actresses including Pori Moni, Chanchal Chowdhury, Jaya Ahsan, Ziaul Faruq Apurba, Mehazabien Chowdhury, and Mosharraf Karim.

Hoichoi Bangladesh’s Country Director Sakib R Khan said, “Hoichoi Bangladesh started its journey in 2019 with Dhaka Metro and now has over 19 Originals that are critically acclaimed and loved by our users worldwide. We are announcing 6 originals for this upcoming year and intend to create even more shows moving forward. I am filled with immense gratitude as we embark on this exciting journey of bringing forth a new session of content to our esteemed viewers on hoichoi.”

Among the six new shows announced by the platform is Rongila Kitab, helmed by Anam Biswas. Headlined by Pori Moni, the series revolves around a small-town goon who decides to leave his life of crime behind after learning that he is going to be a father for the first time. But he gets wrongfully convicted for a local MP’s murder the very next day. Now, his greatest responsibility is to protect himself and his pregnant wife from the police and unknown danger.

Jaya Ahsan will be headlining Ashfaque Nipun’s Jimmi where she plays a lower-level government employee who has been stuck in the same position for 10 years without any promotion, leading to tension in her household. One day, she discovers a large sum of money in a box in the office storeroom. This unexpected finding ignites her greed, and she becomes entangled in a web of temptation.

Ziaul Faruq Apurba stars in the Shihab Shaheen-directed Golam Mamun which revolves around a police officer, ASP Golam Mamun, who has been implicated in a murder. Law-keeper Mamun must break the law and escape from the police to prove himself innocent.

Chanchal Chowdhury continues his association with Hoichoi by headlining Vicky Zahed’s Rumi. He plays the titular role of an established CID officer who loses his eyes in a mishap, following which he happens to have strange dreams. These dreams have a meaning behind them, providing Rumi with clues to solve the murder case he is working on now.

Zahed will also helm another show titled Mitthyabadi. After giving birth to a child, the protagonist, played by Mehazabien Chowdhury, begins suspecting her husband is incapable of fathering children. As doubts creep in, she begins suspecting her father-in-law and brother-in-law of impregnating her.

Mosharraf Karim teams up with Amitabh Reza Chowdhury for Bohemian Ghora where he plays a truck driver named Abbas. Keeping seven wives in seven districts, secretly from each other, he skillfully manages seven households. Abbas now falls in love with another young woman. But he believes that eight marriages is utter destruction. Despite being in two minds, he is somehow forced to marry her, leading to chaos in Abbas's seven households.
