Musician Himesh Reshammiya dropped the first teaser of his upcoming film Jaanam Terii Kasam on his 51st birthday on July 23, announcing his return to movies after five years with the musical slated for a 2025 release.

“Thanks a lot for all your birthday wishes Jaanam Terii Kasam - A Story Of The Saddest Love. A Himesh Reshammiya Musical, a film by Radhika Rao and Vinay Sapru. Produced by Himesh Reshammiya Melodies in association with Rao and Sapru films releasing on Dussehra 2025,” Himesh wrote on Instagram alongside the teaser.

Touted as 'The Saddest Love’, the teaser features a graphic presentation of the film’s theme. The film is likely to follow a tragic tale of star-crossed lovers.

Backed by Himesh Reshammiya and Rao and Sapru Films, the film is directed by Radhika Rao and Vinay Sapru.

Himesh’s last theatrical release was Happy Hardy and Heer in 2020. Last year, he announced his film Badass Ravi Kumar, initially slated for release on Dussehra 2024. However, there has been no update since the announcement. The film is a spin-off to The Xpose franchise, featuring Himesh as the lead character Ravi Kumar.

Directed by the musician, the film also stars Prabhu Deva, Sonia Kapoor and KK Taharpuriya.
