It was going all right for Nani’s single dad until his little daughter, played by Kiara Khanna, got curious about her mother in the trailer of Shouryuv’s Hi Nanna, dropped by T-Series on Friday.

The two-minute-40-second-long video opens with Nani’s Viraj narrating a bedtime story about a king without a queen to his little daughter, Tara. But when the little girl asks him to tell him a story about her mother, Viraj is reluctant to do so, making Tara more curious about the parent she has never seen. One day, after she is saved from an accident by Mrunal Thakur’s Yashna, things seem to take a turn. During a meetup with Viraj and Tara, Yashna asks the latter to imagine her in her mother’s place and figure out the story which her father would be narrating to her.

For the rest of the trailer, Viraj’s past with his ex-wife is shown through flashbacks even as he imagines Yashna in the place of Tara’s biological mother. The trailer promises a family drama with sufficient twists and turns to explore what true love is all about.

Also starring Shruti Haasan, Hi Nanna will be released in theatres on December 7.

Nani was last seen in the action-thriller Dasara, alongside Keerthy Suresh and Dheeksith Shetty, which was released in March this year.
