Veteran actress Hema Malini on Thursday wished husband Dharmendra on their 44th wedding anniversary with a heartfelt note expressing gratitude for everything the two have attained as a couple over the years.

“Our wedding anniversary today! 44 years of togetherness,2 beautiful girls, lovely gchildren surrounding us & drowning us with their love! Our fans &their limitless adulation! What more can I ask of life? Our eternal gratitude to the Almighty for this gift of happiness (sic),” Hema wrote on Instagram alongside a fan-made video featuring photographs of her and Dharmendra together.

Hema and Dharmendra’s eldest daughter Esha Deol also took to social media to share unseen photos of her parents and wish them on their special day.

On Thursday morning, Esha posted a photo in which Dharmendra can be seen wearing a green shirt and Hema in a white floral top. The couple hold hands in the picture and Hema leans on her husband’s shoulder.

“Happy anniversary to my papa & mamma. I adore you, i love you & I just want to hug you,” Esha wrote alongside the photo.

Fans and friends took to the comment section to wish the couple. Actress Celina Jaitly commented, “My heartfelt wishes to this amazing couple who have proven that love is not just a four-letter word but a lifelong adventure. Cheers to another year of happily ever after! Love to Biyara mommy and daddy ♥️🧿🤗🧿♥️”. Actor Tushar Kapoor also wrote, “Happy anniversary Hema ji and dharam ji”

In a follow up post, Esha shared another photo featuring her parents and herself. The trio can be seen sitting on a couch in the picture. A red-and-white sari-clad Hema sits in the middle, with Dharmendra on her left and Esha on her right on a couch. “That’s pretty much what I’m made of 😊🧿♥️♥️♥️♥️Happy anniversary 🥰 the best parents 🙏🏼”

The first movie the couple featured in together was the 1970 film Tum Haseen Main Jawan. The last film they were seen in together was the Rajkummar Rao and Rakul Preet Singh-starrer 2020 film Shimla Mirchi.
