Heeramandi BTS featuring Sonakshi Sinha, Manisha Koirala, Sanjay Leela Bhansali in action; see pictures

IMDb India has dropped exclusive behind-the-scenes pictures from the sets of Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s maiden web series Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar featuring Manisha Koirala, Sonakshi Sinha, Aditi Rao Hydari, Sanjeeda Shaikh, Sharmin Segal, Fardeen Khan and Bhansali himself. Here’s a look.

Dressed as Fareedan, Sonakshi is seen reviewing shots on a camera. In the period drama, the 36-year-old actress plays two roles — the ruthless courtesan Rehana Aapa and her revenge-seeking daughter Fareedan.

Aditi’s Bibbo Jaan elegantly twirls in a regal lehenga, performing graceful kathak steps.

Bhansali is seen guiding Manisha and Sonakshi during the filming of a scene.

Another picture shows Bhansali directing Sharmin, who plays Alamzeb in the web series. Fond of poetry, Alamzeb refuses to become a courtesan like her mother and her elder sisters.

A candid shot shows Bhansali in an intense discussion with Fardeen Khan, who essays the role of Wali Mohommad in the series. With Heeramandi, Fardeen returns to the screen nearly 14 years after his last release Dulha Mil Gaya in 2010.
